⚡️How To Get Consistent Webflow Freelance Work⚡️

Jack

Freelancer

Hey Webflailers - it’s Jack.

We hit 25k listeners on the podcast! That's mental. Thanks. I cried when I saw that. Is that weird? Probably.

Today:

  • Freebie! 10 step process to land your first clients
  • Episode 88 | Getting consistent Webflow freelance work | with Stephen Wise
  • 3 Inspo sites
  • 3 Webflow jobs

Let the milk see the shake.

ps. anyone got any better weird Paddy McGuiness inspired phrases like that?

Which headline would encourage the most signups?

Has been fascinating asking Webflowers which headline they think will convert more.

Some said the top one, some said the bottom one.

Some were adamant that they knew which one would perform better!

I think this may be a problem - trying to detach subjective opinion from objective fact can be the difference of thousands of conversions on a big website.

Turns out the best performing headline so far is 'Webflow resources to help you fail less,' with 3 conversions since I changed it on Sunday.

The other headline encouraged 0 submissions.

How do I know that? By A/B testing using Optibase.

Why? Well, you can:

  • A/B Test Your Webflow Site: Measure how effective colour choices, design elements, copy choices, layouts and more on your webflow sites
  • Webflow London Meetup Recordings - 4 sets of speakers now on YouTube!
  • No flickering: No flickering that can mess up your website’s UX
  • Performance: Test without impacting your website’s performance
  • Audience segmentation: Geolocation and screen size

10 step process to land your first clients

So I've tried to condense different Webflowers takes on getting your first clients to make a mini-course!

It's hopefully fun, provides value and it's free so why not give it a whirl?

Ep 88 | Getting consistent Webflow freelance work | with Stephen Wise

Today, my guest is Stephen Wise.

He’s a creator and entrepreneur. He started as a freelance web designer but now he does a range of things like writing, making videos, running his agency, Demand Flow.

He’s obsessed with figuring out how we can live better and build profitable internet businesses.

Demandflow is design and development on demand for different subscription packages.

There are now 7 people in the agency despite only launching in 2022.

So, the agency is moving in the right direction and he seems to be managing to maintain a balanced lifestyle too but has it always been rosy?

The failures that we’ll talk about in today’s episode are:

  1. The 3 week project that turned into 3+ years…
  2. Ignoring the scary S word… Not running things like a business
  3. Focus, Focus, Focus

3 Inspo Websites

Fruitful

LOVE this hero header. Makes me smile in a way that no other website has ever done for me. It feels so welcoming. And then the smooth animations make it feel premium. Lovely.

DocuSign

I always thought DocuSign was a boring brand but would a boring brand commission a website like this? Take a few mins and just read, scroll and admire this website.

Lovers Magazine

So anything that Corey Moen does I click on but before reading the article this website I thought what a cool article layout. Just really beautiful article experience. Need to improve Webflail for sure.
